Tips & Tricks from Upper Class men for Freshmen

  • As an 85% commuting school, all the resources are helpful and useful!

  • Clubs/involvement. Where to go?

  • Be open!

  • Don’t be afraid to ask for help

  • Writing center / comm center (JC) SO HELPFUL

  • Orientation is very helpful!

  • Stearns Center for Teaching and learning (student resources)-website.

  • Handshake.

  • Set aside time for yourself.

  • Reserve a study room at the library and the JC.

  • All events are FREE!!!!! GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Add link for the students)

  • Download TransLoc. Go to Arlington Campus. Take the Cue bus, get to know the city.

  • Go to the old Library.

  • For classes (online or not), it’s always nice to create Discord servers with your classmates to get help and share notes!

  • DO the ROOMMATE AGREEMENT- NOT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO BE AN ADULT.
